Sapporo Factory

In October 1985, with the decision finalized to relocate the Sapporo Brewery No. 1 to Eniwa, a Hokkaido project team was launched to develop the plot of land. This team’s goal was broader urban planning that encompassed the development of a multi-use space spanning 41,200 square meters. The result was the Sapporo Factory, a mixed-use commercial facility that was the first of its kind in Sapporo. The site opened in October of 1993. The resulting space is a new lifestyle destination that brings modernity to a historic red brick building.
